Alison & Kris' downtown St Petersburg, Florida, Fall wedding was beautiful! The bride got ready at one of our favorite hotels, the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club. Their ceremony was at Snell Isle's St Rafael's Catholic Church, and the reception was at the stunning Museum of Fine Arts . Cannonfire Photography was there to capture all the amazing moments from their big day, and it was such an honor to work with this couple and their families.

Cannonfire Photography had the special privilege of attending and supporting a fundrasier last night for a local school for deaf children (Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf). We gave away three photo sessions and raised over $300 for this awesome little school. Woohoo!

The middle-schoolers from Blossom were our hosts for the evening. :)

Great crowd of generous supporters!

Last year's heart print brought a bidding war this year that ended up at over $600!

This is one of my FAVORITE family sessions of the year, with the Klinglers. I'm so sad that as soon as I got to know this amazing family, they moved to North Carolina. Sarah & Jacob's wedding was amazing! I love these two, and thought so much of them when they initially walked into our studio, that I took their wedding even though it was on my birthday! Their ceremony was at the beautiful St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Florida, and their reception was over at the downtown waterfront's Museum of History. This was also the night of the largest full moon in the past seven years, so as the moon rose over the bay at twilight, we walked to the edge of the water and got the above photo. Wow, now that's a wedding day memory! Enjoy the rest of their samples, and congrats to Sarah & Jacob!!!

I love stepping out of my comfy box when shooting and trying new things, especially when it taps into my editorial roots (nearly a decade in magazine work). This above image is such an example. I really enjoy working with these two boys. They have the look that could easily appear in a catalog for Abercrombie Kids. And this shot has it all. Perfect light (thanks to an advanced strobe technique), the feeling that they really wish they could get into a mudball fight (great fun for brothers dressed up for photos, heh!), and that sky and water behind them to really set up a scenic view.

Afterwards we did our magic with custom Photoshop Venetian textures and a really edgy post-production edit process. Then we created a masterpiece fine art portrait - on sheet metal! If you're in St. Pete, you have to see this one-of-a-kind sample in the studio. It's amazing!

Thanks to the boys' mom, Anne, who is such a blessing to us with her fresh creative ideas and her endless stream of referrals. You certainly deserve my best work every year, Anne, and it's my pleasure to keep providing the "wow" factor.

I'm so excited about Sarah & Jacob's wedding next year. First of all, this fun couple made my year when they called this past summer to say that they saw the Cannonfire Photography road sign in front of our new St. Petersburg studio. Confirmation that our investment in our location choice for the studio works to catch the eyes of our wonderful local community.

And secondly, their wedding is on my birthday next year (March 19th). I'm honored to celebrate my birthday as I use my gifts to bless Sarah & Jacob on their special day!

Recently I had an amazing opportunity to photograph a miracle baby. Our friends and clients Aleesa & Diego were told a year or so ago that it would be nearly impossible for Aleesa to conceive because of reproductive issues. But their faith in a bigger God held on and they didn't give up. Amazingly, she got pregnant late last year! After Aleesa had the baby, the birthing doctor again said she should've never been able to become pregnant, and yet here is living proof in baby Jonathan that sometimes faith in a big God is enough to overcome any of our physical frailties or limitations.

We're so happy for you both, Aleesa & Diego. Congrats on your new addition to your family! He's precious!
